Olivia Newton-John still delivering magic

MAGIC! One of many words to describe Olivia Newton-John’s standing room only performance April 7 at the Grand Event Center inside the Golden Nugget in Lake Charles, La.

Though many know her for her role as Sandy Olsson alongside John Travolta in the 1978 iconic musical-film Grease, Olivia had a string of seven No. 1 songs before she ever stepped foot on the movie set including “Please Mr. Please” and “I Honestly Love You,” which she ended the 21-song set with.

It’s ‘hard to believe’ (lyrics from her 1980 hit song “Magic”) that the four-time Grammy winner is 68. She looked and sounded amazing. ON-J wowed the crowd hitting all the notes and pitches in her songs. Fans immediately took to their smartphones when she sang “Physical” then screamed at the top of their lungs later in the show as she strutted back on stage with the black leather jacket and red lipstick for the Grease medley.
