s, and philanthropic outreach have been documented in dozens of high profile mainstream and adult media articles throughout the past year. Nominations in the Retail Industry Edition of the Exec Awards were submitted by industry peers via the magazine’s social media portal, XBIZ.net, with the goal of celebrating individuals who exhibit exceptional character, strength and business acumen.
In a prepared statement, XBIZ revealed the selection of nominees was based on a multitude of factors, including “leadership ability, positive community influence and overall career success. The XBIZ Exec Awards celebrate individual achievement, reaching the pinnacle of one’s profession and fueling brands that excite, motivate and influence.”
“I’m so grateful to XBIZ for recognizing me with a nomination for Community Figure of the Year,” drake said. “My goal for the last several years has been to use my platform in this industry to get people to start talking about sexuality in a more open, positive way, and to remove the shame and stigma that society so often applies. As someone who identifies as a sex worker and feminist, I am also learning to use my voice to advocate for others in any way necessary. I am so very thankful to Steve Orenstein and everyone at Wicked Pictures for their support and encouragement, and also for walking along this path with me. My goal for 2017 is to keep challenging myself, to be an advocate and an ally, to reach more people, and to keep providing them with realistic, pleasure-based, shame-free sex education which emphasizes consent, confidence and communication.”
For his part, Wicked Pictures President and Owner Steve Orenstein observed, “jessica has headlined some of our most popular releases over the years, but it is her tireless efforts to educate and help people however she can which really have had the most impact. I am extremely proud of all that she has accomplished and continue to expect great things from her.”
