CONCERT REVIEW: The Weeknd

Canadian singer/songwrighter/producer The Weeknd is currently the hottest entertainer in the music industry, plus he is dating fellow musician and Texas native Selena Gomez. Not too shabby.

The Starboy: Legend of the Fall 2017 Tour took over the Toyota Center in Houston on Saturday, May 6 and folks who didn’t have tickets to the sold out concert, stayed around listening to the thunderous booms from inside.

The Weeknd began the show with his massive hit, “Starboy,” which went No. 1 on the charts in several different countries, but what was most impressive was the massive LED star destroyer-shaped piece that was alone worth the price of admission.

The 27-year-old musician has released three studio albums and sang all of his big radio hits including “Wicked Games,” “Earned It,” “The Hills” and “I Feel it Coming.”

As the young folk say, The Weeknd is on “fleek.”
